Uncompromising, unadorned, unmistakably hand-crafted, the wines of Bertrand Gautherot are the product of painstaking attention to detail in every aspect of production – from ground to grape to glass.

A student of the legendary Anselme Selosse, Gautherot farms just 5.5 hectares in Buxières-sur-Arce, Côte des Bar. A biodynamic-certified producer since 1998, his wines are made in tiny quantities and are highly sought-after by devotees of Champagne’s true artisans.

Each cuveé is raised in barrel and no dosage is applied to any of the wines making for truly original, authentic, savoury and complex wines that speak of place. As Antonio Galloni once wrote, “they are among the most exciting wines being made in Champagne.”
